Vuonna 1997 julkaistu alkuperäinen DEAD OR ALIVE tehtiin nyt jo sivuraiteelle jääneelle SEGA Saturnille. Peli koetteli sen prosessointitehoa äärimmilleen. Alkuperäistä DEAD OR ALIVE -peliä on pidetty jo kauan sarjansa mestariteoksena. Tecmon Team Ninjan SEGA Saturn -versiolle laatima näyttävä grafiikka oli aikansa kehittynein. Se tulee nyt ensimmäistä kertaa Xboxille, tietysti vähintään yhtä upeana.
